Wine Tour in Moravia

Join us for a 12-day adventure through the Czech Republic, exploring the vibrant culture, breathtaking architecture, and world-renowned wine region. The journey begins in the charming city of Prague, where we’ll visit iconic landmarks such as Prague Castle, the Astronomical Clock, and the Lennon Wall while enjoying delicious local cuisine. From there, we explore Moravia, the heart of Czech wine country, with stops in Brno, Lednice, Mikulov, and Buchlov, among other picturesque destinations.

Experience Moravia’s beauty and history as we tour landmarks like Lednice Castle, Mikulov Chataue, Buchlov Castle, several iconic churches, and gardens. Indulge in guided wine tastings at renowned wineries, explore charming cellars in towns like Vrbice and Petrov, and immerse yourself in the region’s culinary delights with carefully curated dinners at local restaurants. We’ll conclude the trip back in Prague for a final night of reflection and celebration.

Accommodations include boutique and premium hotels in Prague, Brno, Lednice, and Buchlov, offering comfort and convenience throughout the tour. Whether you’re a wine enthusiast, a history buff, or simply looking to experience the best of the Czech Republic, this tour offers something for everyone.

    Wine Tour Itinerary Overview:

      • Arrival: Arrive in Prague and settle in at Hotel Josef. Enjoy a welcome dinner at Restaurant Lokal and an evening stroll back through Old Town.
      • Day 1: Explore Prague’s iconic sites, including Visit the High Castle grounds, the 11th-century Rotunda of St. Martin, the Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul, the National Cemetery, the New Town neighborhood, the Kafka statue, and Old Town Square.
        Wrap up the day with dinner and free time.
      • Day 2: Explore Prague’s iconic sites, including the Memorial to the Victims of Communism, Petrin Tower, Prague Castle, and the Lennon Wall. Wrap up the day with dinner and free time
      • Day 3: Travel to Brno via a first-class train, then meet the charter bus in Brno to travel to Lednice.  Visit Lachima Winery for tour followed by dinner prior to returning to Hotel Galant.
      • Day 4: Travel to Mikulov area and explore town including Mikulov Chateau, area wineries – Sonberk and Stanislav Madl Vas Vinar ending with dinner at U Tlustych and return to Hotel Galant.
      • Day 5: Travel to Valtice (Moravian Capital of Wine) with some site seeing on the way to Wine Salon open tasting followed by visiting Obelisk winery followed by Dinner at Park Restaurant and return to Hotel Galant.
      • Day 6: Walk to Lednice Castle and its gardens, followed by returning to Brno and checking into the Grand Palace Hotel.  Visit sites in Brno including Špilberk Castle and the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul followed by dinner and return to the hotel.
      • Day 7: Spend the day at the Znojmo Wine Festival, celebrating Moravian wines with tastings, events, and festivities.
      • Day 8: Travel to Hotel Buchlov via Kroměříž and Velehrad, visiting the Basilica of the Assumption of Mary and Saint Cyrillus and Methodius, Archaeological Open-Air Museum and other sites then check into Hotel Buchlov with free time till wine tasting dinner.
      • Day 9: Travel to  Uherské Hradiště to visit various sites and wineries including Petrov-Plže Wine Cellars and Veseli nad Moravou, followed by Velehradské winery for wine tasting and dinner.  Evening will be at Monastery wine bar #ZiJUViNEM before returning to Hotel Buchlov.
      • Day 10: travel to Broumov via Adršpach-Teplice for a hike through area followed by travel to Broumov Monastery.  After check in and free time wine tasting in Monastery Cave and dinner at Monastery restaurant – U Tří růží
      • Day 11: Tour of the monastery and grounds followed by travel to Kutna Hora to visit sites including St. Barbara Cathedral.  We will then return to Prague and check into Hotel Josef.  The day will end with a group dinner and free time.
      • Day 12: Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at Hotel Josef before checking out. Safe travels home!

      Bohemian Sites Tour: 10 Days

      Spring – May 21 – 31, 2026
      Fall – September 16 – 26, 2026

      Discover the Czech Republic’s rich history, stunning landscapes, and architectural gems on this immersive 10-day adventure. Begin your journey in Prague with visits to landmarks like the Jewish Museum, Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, and the Lennon Wall. Enjoy iconic views from Petrin Tower and explore the vibrant New Town and Old Town Square. From there, travel through picturesque towns and natural wonders, including Karlštejn Castle, Hřensko in Bohemian Switzerland National Park, and the Pilsner Urquell Brewery in Plzeň.

      Experience the charm of Český Krumlov, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its castle, gardens, and scenic surroundings. Explore Mariánské Lázně, Bečov nad Teplou, and Český Žleby, delving into local culture, historic sites, and breathtaking natural beauty. The itinerary also features visits to elegant castles, including Hluboká nad Vltavou and Castle Křivoklát, along with guided hikes, relaxing spa time, and carefully curated dining experiences.

        Sites Tour Overview:

          • Arrival: Arrive in Prague and settle in at Hotel Josef. Enjoy a welcome dinner at Restaurant Lokal and an evening stroll back through Old Town.
          • Travel outside of Prague will be via a charter Mercedes Sprinter Bus with 2 night stays in the towns we visit.
          • Highlights for the tour include the following towns, castles, and sites.
          • In Prague you will see the following sites Jewish Museum, Synagogues, and Cemetery; Memorial to the victims of Communism at Petrin Park, Incline to top of Petrin Hill, Petrin Tower; Prague Castle including Official Gate, Main Courtyard, St. Vitus Cathedral, St. George’s Basilica, and Golden Lane; Lennon Wall, Charles Bridge, Old Town Square and Orloj Clock; Vyšehrad (High Castle), Rotunda of St. Martin from the 11th Century, Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul and Cemetery, Charles Square – New Town, St. Cyril and Methodius Cathedral (Resistance Memorial), Dancing Building (Modern Architecture Iconic Building).
          • Český Krumlov sites will include the Castle, Gardens, and various sites within the UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are also options for activities like biking, hiking, and boating.
          • Mariánské Lázně sites will include Pilsner Urquell Brewery, Kladska, Bečov nad Teplou castle, and various spa town sites including Fountain, mineral water springs, and restored victorian buildings.
          • Děčín will include visiting Hřensko, a small village and the gateway to Bohemian Switzerland National Park, near the German Border, Pravcicka Archway, and Děčín Castle.
          • Various sites during travel between towns will include Soumarské rašeliniště in the Šumava National Park with a hike through the peatbog and lookout tower, WW 2 German bunkers, and a memorial for the 5th Infantry Division Red Diamond in memory of the liberation of Czechoslovakia, Hněvín Castle, Křivoklát Castle, Karlštejn Castle, and Hluboká nad Vltavou.
          • Departure: From Hotel Josef will be in the morning via arranged transport to airport or train station. Safe travels!
